The role involves the collection and delivery of pathology specimens from designated locations throughout Melbourne, it also involves the sorting of mail and delivery of pathology reports and consumables
Collection of specimens from designated locations according to Hospital requirements and prearranged schedules/routes.
Collection of specimens from designated locations throughout the day via urgent paging system.
Delivering specimens and request forms to central specimen reception in the appropriate container supplied.
Adhering to the safety requirements of safe specimen transportation at all times.
Having a good working knowledge of the hazards of working with potentially infectious substances.
Collection, sorting, enveloping and delivery of Pathology reports.
Classifications for this position will be JJ8 ($56,000per annum).
Your Contribution
Victorian Certificate of Education (or equivalent)
Full Victorian Drivers Licence
Experience as a Courier Driver
Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain.

The Pathology Courier Dept is an essential part of the pathology service at St Vincent's Hospital by providing the collection and transport of all pathology specimens from medical centres and pathology collection centres located throughout Melbourne.
